The Baccalaureate stage welcomes students aged 16 to 18, and the University Entrance Exams define the learning framework. We carry out competence-based learning, but with our sights set on the University Entrance Exam.
These are years of intensive study, and we offer students close, personalised support. To do this, we have a coordinated teaching team and small student groups.

ACADEMIC RESULTS
Regarding the final academic record, students at Aranzadi Ikastola achieve 0.20 points more than the average grade in the Basque Autonomous Community —the average of the last five school years—.
EMOTIONAL MANAGEMENT
These are often school years full of ups and downs, and we place great importance on working on confidence and self-esteem through the tutor and guidance counsellor.
Our aim is to educate euskaldun, entrepreneurial and decisive, cooperative and transformative people with inner strength, so that they may develop this value system throughout their lives.
CLOSE TUTORING
Although Baccalaureate is an optional educational stage, we place special emphasis on tutoring work. We define goals together with students and families, and we follow them closely, especially so that students’ expectations can be aligned with reality and fulfilled.
The teaching team is small and coordinates every day to monitor students, as this is the only way to get to know them in depth and identify their needs —both academic and emotional—.
GUIDANCE
Academic guidance is of great importance in Baccalaureate, as the path towards the final grade has a clear objective: to be able to choose the future pathway —university or Vocational Training—.
In this regard, we carry out both group and individual work with students and their families: presenting complete information clearly, analysing all possible options, identifying students’ wishes and interests...
We also visit universities and Vocational Training centres first-hand, and we ourselves accompany students to the centres —even if we have to go with just one student— so that they have the confidence to resolve doubts and organise their ideas.
We complement the study plan with additional activities, so that students can also have other kinds of experiences. All of these are directly connected to the Ikastola model.
Trips to Navarre and Paris, activities to work on commitment to the Basque language and participation, special celebrations, culture week, subject-related outings, and so on.
